Your Consultation Appointment
Please allow 90 minutes for your initial surgery consultation. During this time, you will:
- Discuss surgery with Dr Doyle and his client coordinator
- Ask and answer questions
- Discuss your family and medical history
- Look at before and after photos of your preferred procedure
- Discuss potential surgery risks
- Get your surgery quote
- Look at surgery dates and potentially secure your appointment
We understand this is a lot of information to cover in a short amount of time. We encourage you to bring along a friend or family member to this appointment.
Virtual Consultations
If you’re unable to make it into the Gold Coast clinic, Dr Doyle offers virtual consultations. Your consultation will be held on Skype and will cover the same process. If your initial consultation is done online, Dr Doyle requires you to see him in person before proceeding with your surgery. This will be to take your photos and measurements and confirm that you’re still a suitable candidate for surgery.
What Information to Have Ready
To make the most of your consultation, we recommend you bring/have access to:
- A list of any current medications you're taking
- Any relevant medical records
- A list of questions you'd like to ask
- Before and after photos of patients results with similar anatomy
We understand that you may be nervous about your appointment. However, the more information you can provide will help Dr Doyle understand your case better and develop a detailed surgical plan tailored just for you.
After Your Consultation
After your consultation with Dr Doyle, you should better understand the surgery you’re enquiring about, the potential risks and complications involved and how the surgery is performed. You should also have a good understanding of your expected recovery time and aftercare requirements.
By having access to this information, it can help you to make an informed decision about your surgery. If you have any more questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask. We want you to be comfortable with your decision before going ahead with the surgery.
